LSM6DSOX Accelerometer/Gyroscope Breakout Board

Adafruit LSM6DSOX 6 DoF Accelerometer/Gyroscope Breakout Board is designed with the LSM6DSOX iNEMO inertial module that features a 3D digital accelerometer and a 3D digital gyroscope. This IMU sensor has 6 degrees of freedom - 3 degrees each of linear acceleration and angular velocity at varying rates within a respectable range. For the accelerometer, ±2/±4/±8/±16g at 1.6Hz to 6.7KHz update rate. For the gyroscope, ±125/±250/±500/±1000/±2000dps at 12.5Hz to 6.7KHz. The device also has built-in tap detection, activity detection, pedometer/step counter, and a programmable finite state machine/machine learning core that can perform some basic gesture recognition. For interfacing on this breakout board, the user can use either SPI or I2C - there are two configurable interrupt pins. For advanced usage, the user can attach additional devices to an external I2C/SPI port - used for optical image stabilization. The sensors are on compact breakout boards with voltage regulation and level-shifted inputs. They can be used with 3V or 5V power/logic devices without concerns. Since it uses I2C, the user can also easily connect it up with two wires (plus power and ground). The SparkFun qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors for the I2C bus are included, so there is no need to solder. The user can just connect their favorite microcontroller like the STM32F405 Feather (485-4382) with a plug-and-play cable to get 6 DoF data right away.

STEMMA Soil Sensor

Adafruit STEMMA Soil Sensor offers a capacitive touch measurement system integrated into the ATSAMD10 microcontroller chip. The built-in feature allows the sensor to read from about 200 (very dry) to 2,000 (very wet). The STEMMA Soil Sensor's capacitive measurements use a single probe with no exposed metal, preventing probe oxidation. The probe also won't introduce DC currents into plants. It provides ambient temperature from the internal temperature sensor on the microcontroller via an I2C interface allowing it to be used with most microcontrollers.
