BES Battery Safety Electrolyte Detector

Honeywell BES Battery Safety Electrolyte Detector is designed for early detection of venting and thermal runaway in battery systems. This detector uses an advanced and patented rate-of-change algorithm to detect the battery electrolyte vapor released during the initial venting phase called the first vent. The ability to detect the first vent provides early warning for potential thermal runaway incidents on Lithium-ion battery packs. The BES detector provides three types of output through a CAN message. This detector operates in eco mode and normal mode, which can be selected through the CAN command.
