Littelfuse AUML Surface-Mount Multilayer Varistors

Littelfuse AUML Surface-Mount Multilayer Varistors suppress destructive transient voltages, such as large inductive energy discharges, that are found in automobiles. These transient suppressors feature temperature independent suppression characteristics for protection from -55°C to +125°C with no temperature derating up to +125°C ambient. These devices are manufactured from semiconducting ceramics to provide protection and transient energy absorption in small packages with EIA sizes ranging from 1206 to 2220. These suppressors require significantly smaller space and land pads than silicon TVS diodes. This creates greater circuit board layout flexibility for designers. Littelfuse AUML Surface-Mount Multilayer Varistors are available in ceramic leadless chip form, which eliminates lead inductance and assures fast responses to transient surges.
