Mill-Max 0448/0640 Pin Receptacles
Mill-Max 0448/0640 Pin Receptacles feature no-tail receptacles (0448) and press-fit receptacles for Plated Through Hole (PTH) (0640) that are fitted with a beryllium copper-contact clip. An early engagement contact point, dual entry capability, low contact resistance, and high current carrying capacity characterize this contact clip. The 0448/0640 pin receptacles feature a 30% reduction in the required lead length than the usual receptacle offerings. This reduction is due to the hourglass design and extended contact area that eliminates the need for excess protrusion through its fingers for reliable electrical contact. Using shorter mating pins provides several advantages, such as compressed packaging, shorter electrical signal paths, and lower potential RF signal interference. The 0448/0640 pin receptacles' shells are precision turned from brass alloy, featuring tight tolerances and a high-quality finish. The contact clip of the receptacles press-fits into each receptacle shell, forming a gas-tight connection.The 0448 pin receptacles are closed bottom and solder mount receptacles with 0.025" low profile height above the board. These 0448 pin receptacles are designed to be soldered in a 0.071" minimum mounting hole.
The 0640 pin receptacles are zero profile and solderless press-fit receptacles with an overall length of 0.105". These 0640 pin receptacles feature an hexagon-shaped head designed to be press-fit into a 0.085" plated through-hole.
