STMicroelectronics ESDA5WY Automotive Unidirectional ESD Protection
STMicroelectronics ESDA5WY Automotive Dual Unidirectional ESD Protection is an automotive unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) developed for harsh environments. The TVS protects sensitive electronics from damage or latch-up due to electrical overstress (EOS), lightning surge, and ESD without aging effect and performance drifts.
The STMicro ESDA5WY ESD can advantageously replace MOV (metal oxide varistor) or MLV (multilayer varistor) and zener diodes, which are optimized for voltage regulation. The ESDA5WY is an ideal option for high-reliability and quality systems.
The device is housed in a small SOT323-3L (Jedec SC-70) with a 2.1mm x 2.0mm footprint, suitable for space-constrained applications.
